Slow and Steady, Wins the Race!

Have you ever baked a cake before?

Let me guess, the first few times it turned out really wonky and not exactly what you were looking for?

As people who bake quickly learn, you can’t speed up the process, the magic is in the time it takes from mixing all your ingredients together, to pulling that final cake out of the oven, and sometimes you even have to wait to let the cake settle, form, and be ready to decorate + eat.

Content actually operates the same way, you can have all the ingredients, but if you don’t calculate and measure properly, it all falls apart.

Have you posted some content that gets many likes, and some that gets nothing?

This is a prime example, your recipe just has to be tweaked and made right.

Content is unique in that it stacks on itself, the more regularly and scheduled you post, slowly your audience will build, your followers will build, your chance of going viral will increase, and overall conversations with people and potential prospects will skyrocket.

Having that solid plan is your base for the ingredients, most cakes that would be a flour. Then you add in that GOOD content, the butter, the delicious ingredients that we all love about cake. Then you wait, you just keep posting that great content and make sure you are following that recipe plan, slowly and consistently getting closer to that timer going off.

BZZZZZZZZTTTTTT!!!!!

WE GOT A HIT! Your mouth starts to water, the cake is ready to come out of the oven, maybe this is your first big day with a video, you get a record breaking amount of interaction on the content.

DO NOT STOP HERE, your cake still needs the icing, right?

Now that you finally got your breakthrough you can analyze what you want that to develop into, and now you can turn it into something beautiful. We are compounding all the hard work we put in, the recipe, the butter, the waiting, being consistent, now is our time to shine. Now we keep adding that great content and the shape, colors, flavors, and visual appeal is all there.

That is the key to content, think of your content as baking a cake and we will break this up into sections.

  1. What is your recipe? What do you want to make of your company?

  2. What kind of content would really be juicy and beneficial to your brand?

  3. What do the analytics say? After a certain period of time you can look at what style is working, what style isn’t, and then we add the icing.

  4. Go in on what works, you have waiting, you were patient, now you have this great recipe coming together and you know what content works, what time’s work for posting, what kind of engagement is preferred in your network. Now we dive in deep and start exponentially increasing your visits, clicks, conversations.

  5. EAT YOUR CAKE, be proud of your achievements, but nobody can eat cake all day long, take a moment to enjoy it, and get read to build the next cake because that one will be even better!

This is how content really succeeds. Once you figure out the first big hit, you can then go back and re-analyze and now you have the shortcuts, you don’t have to be as precise as you now know what works and what doesn’t.

We are here to help you Bake your Cake, and we have all the ingredients, measurements, and planning ready to go. We are here to help make sure your cake comes out great every single time, and you can avoid a mess of a kitchen in the process.
