Quick Tips for Filming
At Pro Media, we are all about giving power back to our clients, we enjoy taking a client and making some high quality 4k videos to post, but it is also beneficial for us to teach clients how to do some self content as well. It fills in the gaps between posts, and there are some tips that can really change how your video comes through.
Look into the camera, that is your audience, after filming hundreds of people it seems to be human nature to not look right into the lens. This first step is likely going to be the hardest one of all, but is by far the most beneficial to connect with people online.
Have a plan, know what subject you are going to talk about, this is your chance to give a “behind the scenes” look at a day in the life of a business owner or content creator.
Be cognizant of lighting, often overlooked but surprisingly easy to fix. Before you hit “record” just look at the image on your device, move around a little bit and see if there is a better part of the room that lights your face even better, or invest in a ring light.
Two options, move around while you talk, or get yourself a little tripod so you have a stable video, but please don’t stand in one place and have a shaky hand, this can turn off clients from watching for long as they get motion sick. Moving adds allure to “where are they going, what are they doing?” Stabilization with a tripod speaks to professionalism and structure. Shaky hands equated to being nervous.
Lastly, be cautious of external noise, make sure you listen to your video before posting it. You would be impressed by how much audio we have to remove from videos sometimes when we are in public because of things going on in the back ground, or the noise level itself.
If you follow these 5 easy steps, you are on your way to creating some solid filler content in-between the high quality production videos we are supplying to your brand or business. This is a great way to get 2-3 videos per week in on reels, tiktok, youtube, whatever platform you are trying to scale on. (HINT: 2-3 is the magic number for video content)
Get out there and create, Pro Media looks forward to being a part of your journey!
